Children’s Week is excited to announce the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program is a proud partner of the 2016 Hanging of the Hands activity during Children’s Week! The annual Hanging of the Hands is a magical activity taking place Sunday, January 24 to Friday, January 29 in the State Capitol Rotunda. Tens of thousands of paper cut-outs are collected from child care centers, schools and GAL volunteers across the state and hung in the State Capitol Rotunda for the entire week as a reminder to legislators and advocates that we must take care of Florida’s children.

The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program invites you to make hand art to display in the Capitol Rotunda during Children’s Week. Please note that the deadline to mail your children’s hand artwork is January 8th, 2016.  Please view the Hanging of the Hands Flier   for more details on how to get your children involved in this amazing activity.

Don’t forget the Give Us A Hand campaign begins November 23! From November 23 to January 24 share your children’s hand art via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #GiveUsAHand. Let’s remind our policy makers how important Florida’s children are. To learn more view the flier or visit our website.
